Emily Marshall - February Phi Beta Lambda Member Spotlight
February’s PBL Member Spotlight features Emily Marshall, our chapter treasurer. Emily is from Plano, KY.
When asked why she joined Phi Beta Lambda, Emily explains, “I joined PBL not only as a resume builder but to be a helpful part of my community while learning more about the business world.”
What does Emily like most about Phi Beta Lambda? “I have enjoyed being able to meet the owner of Chaney's Dairy Barn and Chick-Fil-A the most and meeting everyone within the group is a close second,” she says.
Why does Emily recommend Phi Beta Lambda? “I recommend joining PBL because it will open up both opportunities and knowledge that you would have never imagined obtaining, and you get to do the learning alongside your peers.”
Emily chose SKYCTC because of the flexibility it offers. “I came to SKY because it offers a more flexible option for me to go to school in order to further my career in the banking industry.”
Emily is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration and wants to complete all three tracks: Management, Human Resource Management, and Accounting. She hopes to graduate by either May or December 2022. Emily’s future plans include, but are not limited to, using her degree as a branch manager at First Bank.
Emily has a wonderful husband and one amazing "step" son. She also has a dog named Tubby and two cats named Thor and Buttercup. When she is not doing schoolwork, she is likely working or playing video games and/or watching TV. A fun fact about Emily is that she likes collecting a special type of pen.
