SKYCTC prepares for stages of on-campus operations
As one of 16 colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) received approval from the Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) for its plan to begin stages of on-campus operations. SKYCTC is now offering student services in a face-to-face format at its Main Campus in Bowling Green, Glasgow Campus, and the Franklin-Simpson Center. Staff will be available to meet with students, by appointment, in preparation for the upcoming summer and fall terms.
Registration is currently underway for the next summer session that begins on June 29. The fall term is scheduled to begin on August 17, and classes at SKYCTC will be offered in a variety of formats. Face-to-face and online classes are scheduled in both 16-week and 8-week sessions.
SKYCTC President and CEO Dr. Phil Neal affirms the College’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment as one of the primary tenets of the reopening plan. “Scheduling appointments for students to come in to meet with our staff will allow us to manage the traffic on campus while still providing the services that students need,” Neal stated. Before visiting campus, individuals should call 270-901-1000 to schedule an appointment.
SKYCTC has developed an on-campus operations plan and designated a Healthy at Work Officer to oversee the health and safety of students, faculty and staff. All employees are required to take online training on health and safety protocols before they are allowed to return to work.
