The Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship (WRKS) pays tuition for up to 60 credit hours toward the completion of an associate degree.  The WRKS is available to Kentucky residents who have earned a high school diploma or are working toward completing a GED. Recipients must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher to remain eligible the following semester.

More than 100 credentials offered at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) are eligible for the WRKS. Students interested in the WRKS may pursue certificates, diplomas, and degrees in the areas of healthcare, manufacturing, construction, logistics, business, and information technology.

“At SKYCTC, we believe that students should have access to a great college education without the burden of student debt. The Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship is an incredible opportunity for all students to get the education they need for a great career,” said Dr. Phil Neal, SKYCTC President/CEO. “Providing students with affordable access to higher education will strengthen our workforce and economy by allowing students to get the skills they need for high-demand careers available right here in our region.”
