SKYCTC ANNOUNCES AWARD OF EXCELLENCE WINNERS
Bowling Green, KY (December 14, 2017) – Each year, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) recognizes Faculty and Staff that demonstrate exemplary work ethic, extraordinary impact and a positive connection with students and colleagues at SKYCTC though their Awards of Excellence. These awards are presented to an individual in the categories of outstanding: support staff member, administrative staff member and faculty member at SKYCTC. Individuals are nominated by their peers and winners are selected by a committee of faculty and staff representatives. This year’s winners are Amy Hurt, Support Staff; Brian Becker, Administrative Staff, and Kristina Tackett, Faculty.
Amy Hurt, recipient of the Support Staff Award of Excellence, currently serves as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Mathematics and Sciences. Other SKYCTC Support Staff nominees were: Amanda Browning, Sonya Corder, Donna Hayden, Kara Morgn, James Peay and Margaret Sullivan.
Brian Becker, recipient of the Administrative Staff Award of Excellence, serves as Director of Adult Education at SKYCTC. The other SKYCTC Administrative Staff New Horizons Award nominees were: Dr. Gene Basil, Dr. Tonya Daniels, List Hunt, Heather Rogers and Denna White.
Kristina Tackett, recipient of the Faculty Award of Excellence, serves as Associate Professor of Biology. Other SKYCTC Faculty Award nominees were: Jim Bronson, Debra Crews, April Harris, Myria Harris, David Jones, Ken McKenney, Jessica Profitt, Carmen Purpus, Christopher Royce, Lori Slaughter and Bertena Varney.
