Former Franklin police officer, now a college instructor Art McFadden, lectured Monday at South Central Kentucky Community and Technical college, where he used his law enforcement experience as an aid to promote cyber safety. McFadden said he's seen a fair number of cases involving technology in his former employment.
Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) is offering a one-stop application and enrollment opportunity for prospective students on July 9, 2019, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. During Express Enrollment, staff help prospective students one-on-one to complete the college admission and enrollment process. At Express Enrollment, a prospective student can complete the entire admission process from applying to the college, to submitting required documents, and taking placement tests. Individuals can learn about scholarship opportunities and talk to financial aid representatives.

The following Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College students have been named to the Dean's List and President's List during the Spring 2019 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must have been a full-time student and attained a grade average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. To be named to the President's List, a student must have been a full-time student and attained a 4.0 grade average.
Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) President Dr. Phil Neal has announced the appointment of Dr. James B. McCaslin as the college's next Provost. McCaslin succeeds Dr. Maggie Schmidt Shelton, who is leaving the position effective June 30.
