Six GED graduates in cap and gown.The graduation celebration for Barren County Adult Education was held on June 23, 2016 at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC), Glasgow Campus. Friends and family celebrated the academic achievement of the twenty Adult Education students in Barren County who were in this year s graduating class.
Our students are dedicated to furthering their educational goals and pursuing their dreams, states SKYCTC Adult Education Director Brian Becker. We have several graduates who are going on to college and others are enrolled in occupational training areas, says Becker.

Development at SKYCTC gave the commencement address to this year s graduating class.
One of this year s graduates, Heather Wyatt, was named Student of the Year at the ceremony for her perseverance by overcoming numerous obstacles in pursuit of her goal. Heather has enrolled in SKYCTC and is on her way to completion of a college degree.
The Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Adult Education Centers in Warren, Simpson, Barren, and Metcalfe Counties provide GED preparation, remediation in reading, writing, math, citizenship preparation, College prep and English as a Second Language, as well as testing for the Kentucky Essential Skills Certificate and the National Career Readiness Certificate.
