Graduates of the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) Surgical Technology Program for 2017 achieved a 100-percent first-attempt pass rate on the national certification examination, according to Surgical Technology program director/coordinator Debra Crews.
"This class has worked very hard throughout the year, and I can't say enough about how proud I am of them," said Crews.
The class also participated in the MS Walk in honor of their clinical instructor Amanda DeFevers. They also participated in multiple college/job fairs for both middle and high school students in Kentucky and Tennessee and in the annual Kentucky State Association of Surgical Technologist (AST) meetings for both the spring and fall.
