Junior Achievement and the Young Athenas teamed up to bring the JA Girl$ program presented by Citizens First Bank,to girls and young women in the Bowling Green area. The Young Athenas of Bowling Green are a prestigious group of young professionals who have received the Young Athena award through the Chamber of Commerce.

Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) student Riley Watson was awarded the Kentucky Restaurant Associations Culinary Arts Student of the Year at the Kentucky Restaurant Association (KRA) Gala and awards ceremony in Louisville on Monday  January 16  2017. SKYCTC faculty and staff Awards of Excellence are presented each year to individuals in the categories of outstanding: support staff member  administrative staff member and faculty member at SKYCTC. Individuals are nominated by their peers and winners are selected by a committee of faculty and staff representatives. This years winners are Janel Doyle  Faculty (left)  Dr. James McCaslin  Administrative Staff  and Sherita Clark  Support Staff (right)..SKYCTC faculty and staff Awards of Excellence are presented each year to individuals in the categories of outstanding: support staff member administrative staff member and faculty member at SKYCTC.

Hatfield  the son of Donna and John Hatfield  is a 2012 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 2014 graduate of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College. Ken DeLane McKenney  has been appointed by Governor Matt Bevin to the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.McKenney of Bowling Green  is the Respiratory Care Director of Clinical Education and an associate professor at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College. Ground was broken for the new building in June this year with plans for the grand opening in late 2017.
