About US:
Metcalfe County Adult Education (MCAE) is a proud member of the SKYCTC family of adult education programs. MCAE offers adult literacy, adult basic education, adult secondary education/GED preparation, National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) preparation and testing, Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA) preparation and testing, and Kentucky Essential Skills Certificate (KESC) preparation all at no cost to eligible residents of Metcalfe County. The staff of MCAE is dedicated to providing a positive environment in which all students feel welcome and comfortable to learn, grow, and achieve their educational goals.

Staff Profile
Hilary s Bio
Hilary Mercer has been an instructor at the Metcalfe County Adult Education program since 2012. While Hilary has provided instruction in all subject areas at one time or another, she is the lead instructor for math and science. She enjoys teaching and seeing her students succeed where they thought they never would. Hilary holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Cumberland University and a Master of Science in Biology from Clemson University. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters.

Jamie s Bio
Jamie Parke is a native of Bowling Green, KY but has called Edmonton and Metcalfe County, KY home since 1997. Jamie graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education in 1995 and a Master of Arts in Education in 2004. She is currently working in her 19th year at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College where she has served as an Assistant Professor of Business Technology, Admissions Advisor/Success Coach, and in her current role as Coordinator and Instructor for the Metcalfe County Adult Education program. Jamie and her husband live on a farm with their black lab, Daisy, and enjoy raising beef cattle, fruits, and vegetables. Jamie is an active member of the Metcalfe County Farmer s Market and the Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce where she is currently serving as a member of the board of directors.
