English As A Second Language

SKY Adult Education offers different levels of English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, from the basics of the alphabet and numbers to the advanced levels for students preparing to obtain a job, get a better job, earn a GED. At each level, students develop their English skills through reading, writing, listening and speaking activities. Students learn how to use English in real life situations in American culture. Students may register and start classes at any time. Our English as a Second Language (ESL) program is for students 18 and older whose first language is not English.

ESL students will learn to:
Speak and understand English
Read and Write English
Talk to the doctor
Talk to children s teachers
Apply for a job
Understand American customs

What will help me succeed?
Dedicate time and commit to your goal
Attend the same class regularly
Practice, practice, practice by doing homework, listening, speaking, writing and reading English
