About Us
Simpson County Adult Education strives to make learning fun in a relaxed, non-threatening atmosphere.
We provide GED, NCRC, Para-educator, ELA (English Language Acquisitions), and COMPASS remediation. There are no fees associated with our services. Our goal is to meet people where they are academically, and help them achieve their educational goals. Due to recent grant funds, there will be no student cost associated with GED testing for students in economic distress.

Hours of Operation
We are open Monday-Friday 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.

GED graduations are typically held in June.

Simpson County Adult Education has been ranked in the top 3 overall performing Kentucky Adult Education counties the past three years.

We proudly serve Simpson County Detention Center by providing NCRC and GED instruction.

Staff Profile
All employees of the Simpson County Adult Education Center serve as volunteers within the community outside of regular work hours.

Instructor Nancy Guthrie is a graduate of Centre College in Danville with a BA Majoring in Elementary Education and Minor in Psychology who has taught at the elementary and Middle School levels. She has served as Director of the Gallery on the Square in Franklin. Nancy is married with 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.

Jamie Cruz is an Administrative Assistant and instructor, willing to go the extra mile and do what it takes to get the task at hand completed. She is dependable and reliable, a perfect mix, for the work she attributes in her daily endeavors. Jamie finds time to be Parent Representative and Parent Representative for Total Cheer All-stars in Bowling Green, she has served as Franklin Elementary PTO Treasurer and currently a member of the Family Resource Center Advisory Board. Jamie performs with perfection which makes her a key element in the success of Simpson County Adult Education.

Ray Haddix serves as Chairperson for Simpson County Community Education. Ray is the 2nd Vice Chairperson for SKYCTC s Lion s Club and is a member of both the Scholarship Committee and Diversity Team Committee for SKYCTC.
