Pre-Engineering

As an engineer, you'll use knowledge and creativity to develop solutions to tackle today's real-world challenges. Get started on your civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering at SKYCTC!

SKYCTC’s Mathematics & Sciences Division Pre-Engineering Program formalized a partnership with the Engineering Department at Western Kentucky University in 2018.

If you complete all of the courses listed below (with the appropriate grades), you will receive an Associate of Sciences degree from SKYCTC and an engineering degree from WKU.

While we do not have official agreements with all colleges and universities, these courses are typical of Pre-Engineering courses required at most institutions, so if you are not planning on attending WKU, there is still plenty to be gained from taking courses at SKYCTC.

To receive an Associate in Sciences degree, students must have at least a 2.0 GPA; however, Engineering students are required to have a grade of “C” or higher in all Mathematics, Sciences, and Engineering courses.
