She then transferred to Western Kentucky University and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2019, with a concentration in Human Resources. Sydney is currently employed as an Associate Human Resource Manager with JM Smucker Company in Scottsville..Sydney Herrington is a 2018 graduate of the SKYCTC Associate in Arts program. Face of mascot Pathfinder with words, nominate now high school counselor, teacher Pathfinder AwardSouthcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) is supporting a new award to recognize high school teachers and guidance counselors for their outstanding efforts in assisting students with their college-going plans. The SKYCTC Pathfinder High School Teacher/Counselor Recognition Award will be awarded to one teacher or counselor in South Central Kentucky. SKYCTC is one of 16 colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) participating in the award selection and an overall statewide award winner will be selected from the 16 college winners.

These awards are presented to individuals in the categories of outstanding support staff, administrative staff and faculty at SKYCTC. Individuals are nominated by their peers, and winners are selected by a committee of College and Foundation Board members. This year's winners are: Mark Leonhardt for Support Staff, Kelcie Richart for Administrative Staff, and Renea Watkins for Faculty.

This opportunity came to fruition from a partnership between SKYCTC and the SCDC called SKY DIVE: Southcentral Kentucky Developing the Incarcerated with a Valuable Education.

Nursing graduate after pinning ceremony with her parentsSouthcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) honored 35 Registered Nursing students from their Bowling Green Campus at their annual nursing pinning ceremony Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the Cave City Convention Center. The ceremony marks the RN student's completion of their Associate in Science in Nursing Degree from the Bowling Green Campus.
