Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) extends its heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing members of the Board of Directors for their exemplary service and welcomes a new cohort of distinguished individuals to guide the College into the future.

Outgoing Board members Jackie Perkins, Tye Burklow, Paula Ratliff, Jerry Coe, and Randy Schumaker helped lead SKYCTC to remarkable achievements. Despite the challenges during their tenure, including tragic natural disasters, the Board's unwavering commitment, supportive contributions, and visionary leadership helped SKYCTC propel to significant milestones. In recognition of exemplary student outcomes, the Aspen Institute designated the College in 2020 and 2023 as one of the nation's top community colleges.

Dr. Phil Neal, President and CEO of SKYCTC, expressed gratitude to the outgoing Board members, saying, "The Board's supportive contributions and leadership helped the College see exciting enrollment growth, increased graduation rates, declining student indebtedness, new college programs, and expanded community partnerships. Each of your caring spirits left an indelible mark on our College, and I thank you for your service to SKYCTC."

The SKYCTC Board of Directors, a public board comprising individuals with diverse backgrounds in the Southcentral Kentucky region, is important in providing direction and guidance to the College as it pursues its strategic goals. The Board is also tasked with raising awareness of the College within the community.

SKYCTC welcomes Valerie Brown, Timothy Edelen, Mike Reynolds, Dr. Patrick Klapheke, and Chris Higgins to the Board of Directors. The new members bring unique experiences and expertise to the table, further enriching the Board's composition. The College is pleased to have Treva Shirley, Kim Phelps, Donia Massey, David Jones, and Jackson Pryor continuing their service on the Board of Directors.

With the new Board now at the helm, SKYCTC looks forward to building on past successes and reaching new heights.
