Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) was designated as one of the “Best Places to Work in Kentucky” by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM), and ClearPath Mutual Insurance Company. This is the 9th year SKYCTC has received this recognition.

One hundred companies across the state made the 19th Annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky. The winner rankings will be announced at an awards dinner Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Central Bank Center (formerly Lexington Convention Center). The selection process is based on assessing the company’s employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey. “Receiving this honor is a tribute to employee excellence, and their commitment to serving our students, communities, and institution. I’m very proud of our team, who are the foundation of the ‘Culture of Caring’ we have built at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College,” states Dr. Phillip Neal, SKYCTC President and CEO.

“We work diligently to find the right employees who understand and exemplify the vision and mission of SKYCTC,” says Sherri Forester, Vice President of Administrative Services at SKYCTC. “I am incredibly proud of our employees and how they embody the culture of caring we strive to achieve at SKYCTC.”

The Best Places to Work winners were divided into small, medium, and large businesses – 15 to 149 employees, 150 to 499 employees, and 500 employees or more, respectively, according to a news release from the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

The competition is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies in the Commonwealth to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence.
