Kentucky Reads Book Discussion on Scissors, Paper, Rock

SKYCTC will host a Kentucky Reads Book Discussion on Scissors, Paper, Rock by Fenton Johnson, September 24, 11:00-12:00PM CST at the following locations: Bowling Green Main Campus Building E, Room 107 and online via this meeting link. https://skyctc.cc/KYREADS2024

Attendance is free and open to the public. In person attendance is based on classroom space. There are a limited number of free copies of the book for those planning to attend. SKYCTC students, faculty, and staff can read the ebook 24/7 using their campus credentials and access more information about the program on the library guide.

Fenton Johnson’s Scissors, Paper, Rock is at the center of statewide conversations on the complexities of human relationships, identity, and the search for self-discovery.

Johnson is the author of three novels and four works of creative nonfiction, most recently At the Center of All Beauty: Solitude and the Creative Life, a New York Times Editors’ Pick. At various times a contributor to National Public Radio, Harper’s Magazine, and the New York Times Magazine, he has received numerous literary awards. He has taught in the nation’s leading creative writing programs and is Emeritus Professor of the University of Arizona. He continues to lecture and teach nationally.

Marianne Worthington, poet, editor, and educator living in southeastern Kentucky will lead this discussion. Marianne is the co-founder of the online literary magazine Still: The Journal and serves as its poetry editor.
