SKYCTC Students Selected for KCTCS All-Academic Team
Versailles, Ky. (April, 2024) – Kentucky's top community and technical college students have been selected for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System's (KCTCS) 2024 All-Academic Team. Students from each of the 16 KCTCS colleges were chosen based on a rigorous selection process that focuses on academic performance and community service.
Selected from Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College were Summer Votaw, and Jacob Kienzler.
Summer Votaw of Springfield, KY, is majoring in Collision Repair Technology. Beyond graduation, she hopes to take her love for cars to a career in the automotive industry and eventually own her own body shop. "I have always been interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry," says Summer. "I definitely get my love of cars from my family, especially my mom and uncle." In high school, after school and work, she would go to her uncle’s shop and work on cars, which solidified her plans to enter the automotive industry.
Jacob Kienzler, of Bowling Green, KY, will graduate in the Spring of 2025 at SKYCTC with an Associate in Arts degree. He plans to transfer to the University of Kentucky or the University of Mississippi to pursue his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. Jacob serves as a Student Ambassador at the college and is President of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) National Honor Society- Beta Upsilon Alpha Chapter. Recently, Jacob joined the Kentucky region PTK executive team for the 2024-2025 school year. As a part of the team, Jacob will work on growing regional projects along with planning and executing the three regional conferences to be held in the 2024-2025 year.
Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College congratulates Summer Votaw and Jacob Kienzler for being selected to this year’s KCTCS All-Academic Team.
