Bowling Green, KY (April 17, 2024) - Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Student David Hall won a $750 scholarship from the Kentucky Business Society (KBS).

Each year the Kentucky Business Society (KBS) awards scholarships to applicants attending a Kentucky college or university and majoring in a business field.

Criteria for winning the scholarship include the student’s grade point average, an application essay, and other supporting documents such as transcripts as well as a letter of recommendation from a member of the business faculty from the student’s school.

The Kentucky Business Society is a professional organization made up of business educators in the state who seek to network with one another and with area business leaders with the purpose of creating meaningful and relevant business courses in Kentucky.  Members of KBS look for input from business leaders to help guide business curriculum.

David Hall is pursuing the Associate in Applied Science in Computer and Information Technologies degree with a focus on Information Security at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College.  David is a non-traditional student that is working very hard to update his skills and to make a better life for his family.  David plans to use his scholarship money to take the Network+ and Security+ certifications for his IT professional career.
