Morgantown, KY – September 26, 2024 – In a dedicated show of support for K-12 and higher education, Delta Faucet Company, a leading manufacturer in Morgantown, KY, has announced a substantial donation of $8,000 to assist Butler County High School students in enrolling in dual credit courses at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC). This initiative aims to empower students while addressing the increasing demand for skilled technicians in the region.

Dual credit courses offer high school students the unique opportunity to earn both high school and college credits by taking college-level courses at SKYCTC. This not only accelerates students' academic paths but also helps reduce the overall cost of obtaining a college degree.

"At Delta Faucet Company, we recognize the importance of investing in education and fostering the growth of the skilled workforce," said Teresa Montgomery, People Operations Manager for Delta Faucet. "We believe in the power of education to empower individuals and strengthen communities. This donation is a testament to our commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders and ensuring they have access to high-quality training."

"We are deeply grateful to Delta Faucet Company for their generous donation," said Ali Bomar Bechtold, Manager of External Education Programs at SKYCTC. "This investment will help us maintain our program and expand our capacity to train more dual credit students, which is crucial for the growth of our local industries."

β€œThe collaboration between Delta Faucet Company and SKYCTC exemplifies the public-private partnerships essential to building a more robust and competitive workforce while ensuring the success of our area high school students,” says SKYCTC Interim President, Dr. Brooke Justice.
