SKYCTC to host Financial Literacy Workshop for students February 25th

Bowling Green, KY - Recognizing students and their families across the U.S. are facing many barriers, it is imperative SKYCTC provide workshops to combat the pressure. TRIO at Southcentral Kentucky Community College (SKYCTC) is offering an interactive financial literacy workshop to all students.

The workshop is entitled: “Surviving to Thriving: Unlock Your Financial Freedom.” SKYCTC is partnering with Service One Credit Union to provide financial education for our students. The CEO of Service One, Rebecca Stone, will present financial tips to students and answer any questions students have. Justin Morris, President of Service One, will also be in attendance. 

Service One offers free online checking accounts, free credit counseling, free financial education, round up savings, graduate auto loans, low loan rates, private student loans, and flexible options to all SKYCTC students. 

Interested applicants can sign up for the workshop below:

February 25, 2025 Financial Literacy Workshop from 2pm - 4pm

The workshop will be held on the main campus of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College in building L, Media Room from 2pm-4pm. 

Attendees are asked to bring financial questions to build their economic future. 

TRIO is a federally funded program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. All services are free.
