Megan MacLean - September 2024 FBLA Collegiate Member Spotlight

September’s FBLA Collegiate Member Spotlight features Megan MacLean. Megan was born in Beavercreek, OH.

When asked why she joined FBLA Collegiate, Megan explains, “I joined FBLA to grow my experience as a student here at SKYCTC and to develop my interest in the world of business.” 

What has Megan enjoyed the most about FBLA Collegiate? “I enjoy the ideas presented and exchanged during our meetings. From the exposure that FBLA Collegiate will receive by participating within the community to the job shadowing and business connections made, I look forward to working together towards a brighter future,” she says.

Why does Megan recommend FBLA Collegiate? She explains, “I would recommend FBLA Collegiate to students who are interested in gaining first-hand experience by making connections to further their careers.”

What brought Megan to SKYCTC? “I came to SKYCTC because it gave me the opportunity to further my knowledge and chosen career path,” she says.

Megan will graduate in May 2026 with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration (HR Management track). After graduation, she will transfer to WKU. Megan’s eventual goal is to open her own small business.

Family is extremely important to Megan. “I have an amazing family for which I am forever thankful. My supportive family consists of my boyfriend, two sisters, brother-in-law, two beautiful nieces, and the most amazing parents. They have all been my strongest pillars in life,” she says.

Megan’s hobbies include shopping, thrifting, renovating furniture, watching Netflix, and reading, and her favorite sports are volleyball and soccer. She also has two cats, Bellamy and Bailey.
