SKYCTC's Lee awarded Communicator of the Year

Rebecca Lee, associate vice president at SKYCTC, was recognized as the District 2 Communicator of the Year at the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) District 2 Conference held in Lexington from October 8-10.
She received the award at the Awards of Excellence Luncheon, which honored her exceptional contributions to community college communications.
Lee is now one of seven National Communicator of the Year finalists to be awarded at the NCMPR national conference in New Orleans in March 2025.NCMPR’s District 2 includes marketing and PR professionals from community colleges in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, and The Bahamas.
As vice president of marketing and communication at SKYCTC, Rebecca leads a team focused on achieving the college’s strategic goals in marketing, admissions and student support.
With extensive experience in communication, event planning and lead management, she has also guest lectured at Western Kentucky University and SKYCTC.
Outside her professional role, Rebecca is an active volunteer, serving on boards and committees for organizations such as United Way of Southern Kentucky, Med Center Health Foundation, the Women’s Fund of South Central Kentucky and the American Red Cross.
She has received several accolades, including the iCare Award, Bowling Green Young Professional of the Year and the Athena Young Professional Award. Lee is also in the Leadership Kentucky 2024 class.
