SKYCTC student receives FFA Future leaders Scholarship from Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO)
BRENTWOOD, Tenn – Hannah Furlong, a student at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC), has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship by Tractor Supply Company as part of the FFA Future Leaders Scholarship program. Hannah is pursuing a career in Radiography at SKYCTC.
Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO) announced the second class of FFA Future Leaders Scholarship recipients, distributing a total of $1 million in scholarships to 143 FFA members from 35 states. The initiative is part of a $5 million commitment over five years, launched in partnership with the National FFA Organization in 2022, aimed at supporting students in agriculture-related studies and trade professions.
The scholarships include 89 awards of $5,000 for students attending trade schools or two-year colleges, with about 25% of them focusing on welding. Additionally, 54 students received $10,000 scholarships for four-year agriculture-related majors. Scholarship recipients will also have the chance to explore internships and potential career opportunities with Tractor Supply.
The scholarship fund is made possible through customer donations at Tractor Supply stores or online. Applications for the next round of scholarships will open on November 1, 2024.
