Bowling Green, Ky. – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) has been recognized as one of the 100 “Best Places to Work in Kentucky” by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM), and CHI Saint Joseph Health. This marks the 11th year SKYCTC has received this prestigious honor.

The 21st Annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky Awards Dinner will celebrate the 100 winners on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Central Bank Center in Lexington. The final rankings will be revealed at the event. The selection process for this recognition is based on an in-depth assessment of a company’s employee policies and procedures, and an internal employee survey.

"It is indeed an honor for every member of the SKYCTC family to receive this recognition," said Dr. Brooke Justice, SKYCTC Interim President. "Our College is built around core values of caring for others and excellence in education. Everything we do is in service to our students, communities, and our fellow employees. I am proud of what our team has accomplished and the organization we have become."

Donia Massey, Human Resources Manager at SKYCTC, added, “We work diligently to find the right employees who understand and exemplify the vision and mission of SKYCTC. I am incredibly proud of our employees and how they embody the culture of caring we strive to achieve at SKYCTC.”

The Best Places to Work winners are categorized into small (15-149 employees), medium (150-499 employees), and large (500 or more employees) businesses, as outlined by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. This statewide initiative encourages businesses to enhance their workplace environments and create a positive impact on employees and communities.
