Bowling Green, KY — Each year, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) recognizes one outstanding graduate whose achievements exemplify professional excellence and meaningful community impact. Among the thousands of alumni making notable contributions across South Central Kentucky and beyond, the 2025 recipient stands out as a true inspiration for both current and future generations of students.

SKYCTC is proud to announce Chris Lockhart as the recipient of the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award.

A two-time graduate of SKYCTC, Lockhart earned an Information Technology degree in 2012 and an Associate in Arts degree in 2020. He has since demonstrated exemplary leadership, entrepreneurship, and a steadfast commitment to community service.

In July 2023, Lockhart launched PitStop Mobile Oil Change, a business born from the simple idea of providing convenient, on-site automotive maintenance. In just under two years, the venture has grown into a successful and respected regional service. More than a business, PitStop reflects Lockhart’s dedication to community support—partnering with local nonprofits such as the BGWC Humane Society, Hotel Inc., and BRAWA to give back in meaningful ways.

Beyond entrepreneurship, Lockhart and his wife are foster parents who adopted their two children in 2024. He is also an active advocate for animal rescue and welfare, further demonstrating the values of compassion, service, and commitment that define SKYCTC alumni excellence.

“It is with great pride that we celebrate Chris Lockhart,” said Dr. Brooke Justice, SKYCTC Interim President. “His dedication to innovation, community, and family embodies the very spirit of our Distinguished Alumni Award.”

Please join us in congratulating Chris Lockhart on this well-deserved honor.
