BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Four TRIO Scholars from Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) recently attended the nationally recognized Circle of Change Leadership Experience hosted at California State University–Dominguez Hills. The multi-day conference brings together hundreds of college students from across the country for intensive workshops, networking opportunities, industry panels, and leadership development sessions led by nationally known speakers, executives, and civic leaders.

The SKYCTC student delegation was joined by three professional staff members who provided support throughout the event. Students participated in sessions focused on personal branding, leadership development, career readiness, and purpose-driven service. The group was also one of the few selected for a special off-site excursion to Netflix Studios, where they explored behind-the-scenes careers in media, production, and entertainment leadership.

SKYCTC is proud to announce that TRIO Scholar Emma Beckner received one of the Circle of Change Leadership Experience’s competitive Jessie Mae Pittman Scholarships, an honor awarded to a select group of outstanding student leaders nationwide. Conference organizers were also so impressed by her engagement and presentation that they plan to feature her video on the official Circle of Change YouTube channel.
