Stay Safe Online - protect your data from cybercrime
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) will host its third annual Cybersafe Summit on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. CST. Participants may join online or attend in person at the KATI Campus, 1127 Morgantown Road, Bowling Green, KY.
The free summit is open to the public and will highlight practical ways individuals and businesses can stay safe online. With cyber threats growing in number and sophistication, the conference provides essential tools and resources to help participants protect sensitive data and gain greater peace of mind while online.

Nick Conder is a Senior Information and Cyber Consultant for Computer Services, Inc (CSI). He specializes in IT control audits, cybersecurity framework alignments, and technology compliance. He leads organizations through business continuity, security training, risk assessments, and incident response planning. Nick is a graduate of the SKYCTC CIT and University of Cumberlands CIT programs. Nick will be discussing the critical role of reputation, continuity planning, and incident response in building resilient cybersecurity programs.
John Gilbert is the Senior Security and Compliance Consultant for Whitfield Enterprises LLC. He was a managing partner of Build Cyber, Chief of Cybersecurity at VAON LLC, and a Computer Network Defense Researcher at Electronic Warfare Associates. John began his information security career while in Army Intelligence and has lectured extensively on cybersecurity topics across the Commonwealth. He is currently a SKYCTC CIT Faculty Instructor. John will discuss Safe Use of Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Michael Ramage is the director of Murray State Cyber Education and Research Center which focuses on education, outreach, development, and research in the areas of cybersecurity and networking. He will be joining the Tech Talk forum to discuss audience questions.
Duncan Woosley is a Senior Penetration Tester at KirkpatrickPrice with over five years of experience in ethical hacking, digital and physical security assessments, and social engineering. Duncan is a graduate of the SKYCTC CIT program and will be joining the Tech Talk forum to discuss audience questions.
Matthew Cunningham is a current student at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College studying Computer Information Technology. He is on the Information Security track, and is CompTIA A+ certified. He recently worked as an IT Support Technician (Intern) for SKYCTC’s IT department. He is currently employed as a Wastewater Plant Operator for Gallatin Public Utilities. Prior to working for the City of Gallatin, he served in the United States Army as a Forward Observer. He will be joining the Tech Talk forum to discuss audience questions.
