BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) is pleased to announce the election of a new faculty representative and a new staff representative to its Board of Directors. The election cycle, which opened to fill one faculty seat and one staff seat for three-year terms beginning September 2025, concluded with voting held July 7-16 following a nomination period that closed, July 2nd.

In addition to his staff role, he is an adjunct instructor of music in the Arts and Humanities Division. He earned his Ph.D. in musicology from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and performs on guitar, banjo, and the Zimbabwean mbira.
Active in the community, Dr. Thomerson serves as secretary for the SOKY Veterans Council and as a member of the Kentucky Student Success Collaborative’s Adult Attainment Guiding Team.
The Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Directors proudly welcomes Chris Hagan and Dr. John Thomerson to their new roles and looks forward to their contributions in advancing the mission of the college.
