February’s FBLA Collegiate Member Spotlight features Kibe Wilondja. Kibe is a native of the Congo Democratic Republic.

When asked why he joined FBLA Collegiate, Kibe explains, “I joined FBLA because, as a student majoring in business, FBLA helps me unlock opportunities that not only inspire me but also empower my future outcome.”

Kibe has been an active member of FBLA Collegiate by participating in meetings, campus events, community service events, and business tours. What has he enjoyed the most? “I have enjoyed networking and business tours where I get to meet business professionals. This includes but is not limited to the WKU Innovation Campus, Cybersafe Summit, and AI for Educators training. I am also looking forward to the upcoming State Leadership conference,” he says.

Why does Kibe recommend FBLA Collegiate? He explains, “FBLA Collegiate is not just for camaraderie; it is a nutrient that helps my brain thrive in business through preparation and exchanging of ideas. It is a terrific opportunity for networking, and FBLA Collegiate inspires students to thrive in career preparation, such as building strong resumes. For these reasons, I would highly recommend other students to join FBLA Collegiate.”

Kibe is studying business management and plans to graduate in 2028 with his Associate in Applied Science degree. He explains, “My plan is to become a small business owner.”

When describing his wife and children, Kibe explains, “I love my beautiful family more than what I can describe here; it is my greatest blessing.”

Kibe’s fun facts are that he loves nature and cats, watching the English Premier League and is a loyal Kroger customer.

Kibe summarizes how he approaches his education. He says, “I am optimistic with a positive learning attitude toward my studies, believe that I can achieve things on my own, as well as collaborate to support others as needed. This will help me acquire the resources I need for my future career.”

Congratulations, Kibe!
