Mason McDonald - November/December 2025 FBLA Collegiate Member Spotlight

Bowling Green, KY - November/December’s FBLA Collegiate Member Spotlight features Mason McDonald. Mason is a native of Burlington, a town in Northern Kentucky.
When asked why he joined FBLA Collegiate, Mason explains, “I joined because of the networking opportunities. I looked into it and found FBLA has competitions and events and saw an opportunity to make professional connections.”
Mason has been an active member of FBLA Collegiate by participating in meetings, campus events, community service events, and business tours.
What has he enjoyed the most? “I have enjoyed the events and networking. I have had the pleasure to moderate a forum at an entrepreneurial summit and participate in a cyber security summit. Both times I was able to talk and meet with others in the community,” he says.
Why does Mason recommend FBLA Collegiate? He explains, “The connections and resume building are amazing. You get a lot of experience and things that you otherwise wouldn’t outside of FBLA.”
What brought Mason to SKYCTC? “It is reasonably priced, and I can transfer to WKU to complete my bachelor’s degree,” he says.
Mason is studying business and plans to graduate in 2027 with his Associate in Arts degree. He explains, “I want to continue my education, learn more finance and then get into business ownership or work in corporate finance.”
When describing his family, Mason explains, “We are very large and very close. I am close to my cousins and immediate family. There are almost 30 of us.”
Mason’s fun fact is that he really likes building and making things. He also likes cars, investing, and anything outdoors and recently adopted a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever.
Mason summarizes how he lives his life by saying, “Nothing is set in stone until you give up. Anything can be worked on and achieved.”
Congratulations, Mason!
