DR. JAMES B. MCCASLIN RECIEVES HONORS FROM SAEOPP

Dr. James B. McCaslin, Provost at SKYCTC and Acting Executive Director of Project Management at KCTCS, received Honors of the Executive Board at the 53rd annual conference of the Southeastern Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (SAEOPP) in New Orleans, LA, on February 3, 2025. 

Dr. J was honored by the SAEOPP Executive Board for his meritorious service and outstanding contributions to SAEOPP.  Since 2020, Dr. J has helped to train TRIO professionals throughout the United States.  A TRIO alum, himself, he understands the impact that TRIO plays in supporting first-generation college students. 

In addition to serving as a faculty member for TRIO training, he also serves as a member of the SAEOPP Tech Team and helped to read and revise SAEOPP’s training grant applications to the U.S. Department of Education.
