Sixty-five SKYCTC nursing students honored at Pining Ceremony

Cave City, Ky. – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) honored 65 Registered Nursing (RN) students from its Bowling Green and Glasgow campuses during its annual Nursing Pinning Ceremony held Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Cave Area Conference Center.

The ceremony marked the completion of the Associate in Applied Science degree in Nursing for the RN graduates, symbolizing their transition from students to professional nurses.

“Nursing school is incredibly demanding, and only those who have experienced it can truly understand the level of commitment required,” said Dr. Angie Harlan, dean of Allied Health and Nursing at SKYCTC. “These graduates have shown they possess the qualities, dedication, and passion necessary to excel in one of the most highly regarded ethical professions in the United States.”

SKYCTC’s Registered Nursing program continues to receive national recognition for excellence. Both the Glasgow and Bowling Green campuses have been recognized by RegisteredNursing.org for their outstanding performance.

Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College has been educating highly trained nurses for the region since 1957.
