BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) is gearing up for SKY Spirit Week, a four-day celebration of school pride, running August 25–28.

Throughout the week, students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to join in the festivities by participating in on-campus activities and sharing their SKY pride on social media using the hashtag #SKYCTCSpiritWeek. Alumni and community members are also encouraged to take part by posting messages of support and celebration online.

SKY Spirit Week will feature a variety of activities designed to engage students, build connections, and celebrate the SKYCTC community:

  • Monday, Aug. 25 – Merch Search
SKY goodie bags will be hidden across campuses for students to discover and claim.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 26 – College Colors Day & Gift Card Drawing
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear SKY blue and gold or logoed apparel. Students may email a picture of themselves in college colors to sky-marketing@kctcs.edu for a chance to win prizes. Photos will also be featured in the Pathfinder Press student newsletter.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 27 – Free Drinks & SKYCTC Student Life Showcase
The Grove Café will provide free drinks while supplies last (exclusions apply). Students can also explore the Student Life Showcase, where campus clubs and organizations will offer information, giveaways, and activities. Participants can collect stamps on a showcase passport at each table and redeem it for a free item at the Grove Café. For more information, contact SKYCTC Student Life and Engagement at 270-901-4348 or email david.travis@kctcs.edu.
  • Thursday, Aug. 28 – Stay Cool
Students can beat the heat with free drinks available at all campuses while supplies last (exclusions apply at The Grove Café). Additional details will be shared in the Pathfinder Press newsletter and through student email.
