SKYCTC to Host First Student Organization Leaders Retreat (SOLR)

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) will host its first-ever Student Organization Leaders Retreat (SOLR) on Friday, September 26, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the college’s Main Campus.

The free, one-day workshop is designed for students interested in holding leadership positions in any of SKYCTC’s student clubs and organizations. SOLR will provide participants with valuable tools and resources to strengthen their leadership skills while building connections with peers across campus.

    • Fundraising with Professors Frederick & Otto
    • Membership Recruitment & Retention with Professor Willoughby
    • Collaboration Between Student Organizations with SGA President Emma Beckner
  • Break (11:15 a.m.)
  • Lunch & Budget Allocation Workshop (11:30 a.m.) – Presented by Dr. David Travis, Building L Grove Café
  • Closing Remarks & Giveaways (12:30 p.m.) – Media Center

This retreat will equip students with the skills to lead successful campus organizations, manage events, recruit members, and collaborate effectively. Participants will also have the chance to engage in hands-on training, enjoy networking opportunities, and walk away with SKYCTC swag.
