Teresa Lanham with the Robert and Mary Tincher Charitable Foundation presents a check for $100,000 to SKYCTC President, Michelle Trawick, and SKYCTC Foundation Executive Director, Heather Rogers, for student scholarships
BOWLING GREEN, KY. — Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) received a generous donation from the Robert and Mary Tincher Foundation for student scholarships. With a new $100,000 gift toward future scholarships, total contributions from the Robert and Mary Tincher Charitable Foundation now exceed $3.2 million, making the Tincher’s the largest single donors in SKYCTC’s history.
Mary Tincher began her support of SKYCTC in 2010 with a gift to the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign and went on to contribute to scholarship funds, the Student Emergency Fund, and the BuildSmart Capital Campaign in 2018. Following her passing, the Robert and Mary Tincher Charitable Foundation has carried forward her legacy of philanthropy, continuing to provide opportunities for SKYCTC students. To date, her generosity has helped more than 650 students achieve their educational goals—with many more to come.
“SKYCTC is deeply grateful for the extraordinary generosity of the Robert and Mary Tincher Charitable Foundation,” said Heather Rogers, Executive Director of the SKYCTC Foundation. “The Tincher’s’ lasting legacy will continue to change lives and strengthen our community for generations.”
