
SKYCTC to host Transfer Workshop to empower students for seamless college transitions

Bowling Green, KY – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) will host a Transfer Workshop designed to help students confidently plan their next steps toward earning a bachelor’s degree and beyond. The four-hour event will take place Friday, February 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the SKYCTC Main Campus, Building L (MEDIA Center).
The interactive workshop will feature presentations, small-group activities, and a robust question-and-answer format to give students practical tools and firsthand insights into the transfer process. Sessions will cover transfer best practices, academic planning, and how to maximize credit transfer, while a college transfer panel will offer perspectives from partner institutions and SKYCTC alumni.
Agenda highlights include:
- 9:00–9:15 a.m. – Welcome & Icebreaker
- 9:15–10:00 a.m. – Transfer 101: Tools, Tips & Best Practices
- 10:00–10:15 a.m. – Break
- 10:15–11:00 a.m. – Transfer Panel featuring colleges and SKYCTC alumni
- College Fair & Lunch – Students can meet one-on-one with college representatives; lunch provided
A transfer fair following the panel will allow students to speak directly with representatives from a wide range of four-year institutions, ask questions about admissions and programs, and explore pathways that align with their academic and career goals.
