BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (November 11, 2025). — Each year on November 11, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) joins the nation in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of America’s veterans. Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the service of those who have worn the uniform and defended the freedoms we all enjoy.

SKYCTC invites all students, faculty, and staff to attend our annual Veteran's Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Main Campus Flagpole as we come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served our nation.

SKYCTC takes great pride in serving those who have served our country. The college is home to many student veterans, active-duty service members, and military families who bring leadership, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose to campus life. Through resources like the Veterans Center at the Main Campus, SKYCTC provides specialized support to help veterans transition from military to college life and achieve their educational goals.

“Veterans are an important part of our campus community,” said Sherita Calrk, Academic Advisor for Veteran’s Services at SKYCC. “Their experiences and perspectives enrich our classrooms and inspire others to pursue their dreams with commitment and integrity.”

On Veterans Day and every day, SKYCTC extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have served and continue to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. The college honors their bravery, remembers their sacrifices, and reaffirms its commitment to supporting them in higher education and beyond.
