SKYCTC Celebrates Excellence in Allied Health Programs at Annual Awards Ceremony

Bowling Green, KY – Each year, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) proudly recognizes outstanding students in its Allied Health programs for achievements in academic and clinical excellence, as well as leadership.

On April 1, 2026, the College hosted its annual Allied Health Awards Ceremony at the Loop Drive Campus, where twenty exceptional students were honored for their accomplishments. In addition, five dedicated professional mentors from regional healthcare facilities were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the programs.

Award recipients were honored in the following categories:

Academic Excellence
Recognizing students who achieved the highest program GPA

  • Medical Information Technology – Clay Avery, Warren County
  • Medical Laboratory Technology – Yamilet Bruno, Warren County
  • Radiography – Yuridia Sanchez Neblina, Butler County
  • Respiratory Care – Ashley Pentecost, Logan County
  • Surgical Technology – Darrien Stone, Simpson County 

Clinical Excellence
Recognizing students with the highest level of clinical proficiency

  • Medical Laboratory Technology – April Saldana, Barren County
  • Radiography – Hannah Brown, Logan County
  • Respiratory Care – Malliea Copas, Allen County
  • Surgical Technology – Harley Chapman, Warren County

Excellence in Leadership
Recognizing students who demonstrate outstanding leadership and integrity
