SKYCTC Business Students Invited to Gain Real-World Experience Through Spring 2027 Internship Opportunities

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) business students can apply classroom learning in professional settings while earning academic credit through BAS 280: Business Internship, offered during the Spring 2027 semester.
Designed to help students bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice, the course connects students with local organizations where they can apply business concepts in real-world settings, gain practical business experience, explore career opportunities, and build professional networks.
"Internships give students the opportunity to take what they've learned in the classroom and apply it in a professional setting," said Julie Dent, Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the Business Administration program at SKYCTC. "Through BAS 280, students can explore career options, develop workplace skills, build professional connections, and gain meaningful experience that helps prepare them for success after graduation."
Spring 2027 internship opportunities currently include:
- Barren River District Health Department
- SKYCTC Foundation/Office of Philanthropy
- SKYCTC Building A Faculty/Staff/Project Internship
- SKYCTC Laura Goad Turner Charitable Foundation Art Gallery
- Booked and Balanced by Sheena (two internship positions available)
- Voltava
Students interested in participating in a Spring 2027 internship are encouraged to contact their advisor, complete the internship interest form, and discuss available opportunities and enrollment requirements.
