BOWLING GREEN, Ky.Christabelle Anderson, a Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) culinary student who previously earned a prestigious internship opportunity with Hershey in Pennsylvania, is taking the next major step in her culinary career.

Following her internship, Anderson received a job offer from the Executive Chef who supervised her experience at Hershey. She has accepted the position and will become the head chef of Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The multi-purpose indoor arena is home to the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association, providing Anderson with an exciting opportunity to lead culinary operations at one of Philadelphia's premier sports and entertainment venues.

Anderson's connection with Hershey began when she was selected for a scholarship and internship opportunity that provided valuable hands-on experience in a professional culinary environment. Her performance during the internship ultimately opened the door to her new career opportunity.

In addition to offering Anderson the head chef position, her employer will pay her tuition as she completes her degree at SKYCTC, allowing her to continue her education while launching her professional culinary career.

“This is an incredible opportunity for Christabelle and a testament to the talent, dedication and professionalism she has demonstrated throughout her culinary education and internship experience,” said Tammy Inscoe, Associate Professor in Hospitality Management at SKYCTC. “We are extremely proud to see one of our students take this next step and represent SKYCTC on such a prominent stage.”

Anderson's journey illustrates the career opportunities available to SKYCTC students who combine classroom instruction with hands-on industry experience. Her new position will allow her to apply the skills she developed through her education and internship while gaining leadership experience in a high-profile culinary operation.

Anderson will continue working toward completing her degree at SKYCTC while beginning her new role in Philadelphia
