BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Dr. David Campbell will join Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College as Vice Chancellor of Workforce Solutions on December 1, 2026, bringing more than 30 years of experience in workforce development, career and technical education, and community college leadership.

Campbell’s appointment comes as SKYCTC expands the role of Workforce Solutions in connecting the College’s education and training resources with regional employer needs.

“Dr. Campbell brings extensive experience helping community and technical colleges respond to the needs of employers and the communities they serve,” said SKYCTC Chancellor Michelle Trawick. “As we elevate and integrate Workforce Solutions into our work across the region, his leadership will help us strengthen partnerships and connect more people with training that leads to career opportunities and helps businesses succeed.”

Campbell has held executive leadership positions at community colleges in Mississippi and Florida, including vice president for workforce development and career-technical education at St. Johns River State College and vice president for workforce solutions and career-technical education at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

At Northwest Mississippi Community College, he led more than 120 faculty and staff across career and technical education, workforce development, adult education, job centers and continuing education. His work included developing regional workforce partnerships, expanding training opportunities and securing resources for workforce training facilities.

“I look forward to working alongside the SKYCTC team and area employers to prepare our workforce for the demands of today and the opportunities of tomorrow,” Campbell said. “Together, we can anticipate changing skill needs, expand pathways to rewarding careers, and help businesses and communities thrive.”

Campbell most recently served as executive director of the Communiversity at East Mississippi Community College, a 143,000-square-foot advanced workforce training center. He worked with business and industry to develop training aligned with emerging workforce needs and supported workforce planning for a new manufacturing facility expected to employ more than 1,000 people.

He currently provides industry-based consulting, including management of a large-scale lineman apprenticeship program. He holds a doctorate in community college leadership from Mississippi State University.
