Dollar General Distribution Center donates $10,000 to Warren County Adult Education

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Dollar General Distribution Center has selected Warren County Adult Education as one of its community partners, demonstrating its commitment to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening the local workforce through a $10,000 donation.

During a presentation held on Aug. 4, 2026, Dollar General Human Resources Manager Fabby Castellanos, joined by Plant Director Donald Cook, presented the donation to Warren County Adult Education Director Dr. Joda Johnson.

Castellanos said Dollar General selected Warren County Adult Education in recognition of the organization's vital role in empowering individuals through education and helping build a stronger community.

"We are honored to be recognized and grateful for Dollar General's investment in adult education and the students we serve," said Dr. Johnson. "This generous gift will help us continue providing life-changing educational opportunities that prepare adult learners for college, careers and long-term success. Partnerships like this make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and the communities they call home."

Warren County Adult Education, a program of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC), provides free educational services that help adults earn a GED, improve academic and workforce skills, prepare for college, and achieve career goals.

Also attending the presentation were SKYCTC Chancellor Dr. Michelle Trawick, Vice Chancellor Dr. Brooke Justice, Director of Alumni Relations and Career Services Millie Wells, Resource Development Specialist and Scholarship Coordinator Chantal Allen, and Associate Vice Chancellor of Marketing and Communication Rebecca Lee (not pictured).

The donation reflects Dollar General's ongoing commitment to supporting educational initiatives that create pathways to success for individuals and strengthen the communities it serves.
