BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College's (SKYCTC) Educational Opportunity Center is offering a series of free FAFSA workshops in November and December to help current and prospective college students access financial aid for the 2027-2028 academic year.

The 2027–28 FAFSA is the financial aid application for students attending college during the 2027–28 school year. For most students, that means starting college in fall 2027 and continuing into spring 2028.

With the 2027-2028 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) now open, students are encouraged to complete the application early to explore opportunities for grants, scholarships, work-study programs and federal student loans.

If you need assistance, plan to attend one of our upcoming FAFSA Workshops at SKYCTC Main Campus, Building J, Rooms 104 & 107. You can stop by anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Monday, November 2
  • Monday, November 16
  • Monday, November 30
  • Monday, December 7

FAFSA Workshops will also be held in Glasgow at the Glasgow Health Campus from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the computer lab of Building B on the following dates:

  • Thursday, November 12
  • Thursday, December 10

Our Financial Aid staff will be available to help you complete the FAFSA, answer questions about the application process, and discuss the financial aid options available to you. To make the most of the event, attendees can bring the following items, but these items are not required to attend the workshop:

  • Social Security Numbers
  • 2025 tax information (if applicable)
  • Records of income and assets
  • Student Aid account login information for both student and parent

The workshops are open to current and prospective college students seeking assistance with the FAFSA process.

Don't leave financial aid on the table. Take advantage of these free workshops and get a head start on funding your college education for the 2027-2028 academic year.
