FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority’s annual Industry Appreciation Golf Tournament brought together local business, community and industry leaders on September 10 at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course in Franklin, while also supporting students at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC).

The tournament raised $6,000 for SKYCTC student scholarships, providing valuable financial support to students pursuing their education and career goals at the college.

The annual event provides an opportunity for members of the Franklin-Simpson community to recognize and celebrate the industries and businesses that contribute to the local economy. Proceeds from the tournament also demonstrate the community’s commitment to investing in the next generation of workers and professionals.

Scholarships can make a significant difference for students as they work to cover the costs associated with pursuing a college education. Financial assistance can help students focus on their studies and career preparation while reducing some of the financial barriers associated with higher education.

SKYCTC appreciates the Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority and the businesses and community members who supported the tournament and helped make the scholarship contribution possible. Partnerships such as this help SKYCTC provide greater opportunities for students throughout the region.

The scholarship funds will be administered through the SKYCTC Foundation and used to support eligible SKYCTC students.
