Dr. Michelle W. Trawick

Michelle W. Trawick, Ph.D., is the President and CEO of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, bringing 30 years of experience in higher education, including nearly 20 years at Western Kentucky University, her undergraduate alma mater. After winning awards for teaching, research, and student advisement as a faculty member, she transitioned to administration and spent 15 years advancing opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and the community. A first-generation college student from Logan County, she is keenly aware of the critical role higher education plays in advancing personal and community goals through technical and academic training and credentials. She is committed to leading SKYCTC into even more impactful outcomes for the region.

Michelle and her husband, Mark, are very excited to be back in southcentral Kentucky, a place they proudly call "home." Their greatest accomplishment, Nathan, is a 2024 graduate from the University of Kentucky, who is living his best life in Nashville. They adore their two other "kiddos," Caliber, an eleven-year-old Bichon Frise, and Gunner, a five-year-old West Highland terrier.
