If you are interested in a healthcare career, get started on your college education at SKYCTC by taking your pre-requisite classes while you are in high school. When you complete the pre-requisite classes in high school, you’ll be ready to start your program-specific classes immediately after graduation and may graduate from college sooner*.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Find your program of interest in the list below
  2. Complete the dual credit classes listed for the program
  3. Apply to SKYCTC and your chosen program*

*Acceptance into most healthcare programs at SKYCTC is based on a selective admissions process. Completion of the pre-requisite courses does not guarantee admission to a program. Please visit the program web page for more information, or contact our admission team for more information.

General Education Classes

  • BIO 137* - Human Anatomy and Physiology I (Must be complete with a "C" or better)
  • BIO 139 - Human Anatomy and Physiology II (Must be complete with a "C" or better)
  • ENG 101 - Writing I
  • MAT 150* - College Algebra (or higher) (Must be complete with a "C" or better)
  • Social/Behavioral Science
  • Heritage (or) Humanities
  • AHS 115** - Medical Terminology
  • Digital Literacy

*Pre-requisite classes
**If you have not taken AHS 115 before you begin the program, you will need to take DMI 102 while in the program.

  • MAT 150* - College Algebra (or higher) (Must be complete with a "C" or better)
  • BIO 137* - Human Anatomy and Physiology I (Must be complete with a "C" or better)
  • BIO 139 - Human Anatomy and Physiology II (Must be completed prior to the 3rd semester of the program).

  • SOC 101 - Introduction to Sociology (or) PSY 110 - General Psychology
  • COM 181 - Basic Public Speaking (or) COM 252 - Introduction to Interpersonal Communication.
