What is Air Conditioning Tech?

The Air Conditioning Technology Program concentrates on teaching students how to design, build, and maintain advanced climate control systems, such as heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. This program provides both academic and theory courses along with practical application through hands-on involvement in real life settings.

What are my career choices?

You have many options to pursue. Many students elect to work for a heating and air conditioning contractors, or become an entrepreneur and start their own companies. Other common job opportunities include facilities air conditioning maintenance, appliance repair, duct installation, and general service technician.

Environmental System Repair Helper Certificate: 9-10 Total credit hours Requirements
Environmental Control System Repair Certificate: 24-25 TOTAL CREDIT HOURS  Requirements
Domestic Air Conditioner and Furnace Installer Certificate: 35-36 TOTAL CREDIT HOURS  Requirements
Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Mechanic Diploma: 47-56 TOTAL CREDIT HOURS Requirements
 Air Conditioning Technology Associate Degree: 60-66 Total Credit Hours Requirements

Admission Requirements

This program has no special admission requirements.

Length of Program

You can earn an associate in applied science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.
