Institutional Accreditation

Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Accredited Academic Programs

Air Conditioning Technology: The program is accredited by HVAC Excellence.

Automotive Technology: The program is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

Collision Repair: The program is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

Fire/Rescue Science Technology: The program is accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress.

Medical Laboratory Technician: The program is accredited by the National Accreditation Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).

Nursing: The program is Kentucky Board of Nursing approved.

Effective September 11, 2024, this nursing program is a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. This candidacy status expires on September 11, 2026.

Note: Upon granting of initial accreditation by the ACEN Board of Commissioners, the effective date of initial accreditation is the date on which the nursing program was approved by the ACEN as a candidate program that concluded in the Board of Commissioners granting initial accreditation. 

Radiography: The program is accredited by Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

Respiratory Care Technology: The program is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

Surgical Technology: The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Ed. Programs (CAAHEP).
