Enrollment Steps

To get started you'll need:

  • Your Social Security number.

  • An email address that we can use to contact you.

  • Name and address of the high school you have attended.

  • Name and address of any colleges you have attended.

    Start Your Application

You can order your high school transcript at parchment.com or your GED transcripts at request.ged.ky.gov. Don’t forget to send transcripts for all previously attended non-KCTCS colleges, for example, any dual credit classes you may have taken in high school.

Transcripts sent through electronic exchange directly to the student will not be considered an official transcript. Please confirm the transcript is sent to the appropriate SKYCTC contact.

Submit your test scores or take placement testing, if needed. You can submit your ACT scores or AP scores.

  • You can request ACT scores online. ACT scores are valid for five years, and benchmark scores are as follows: English 14, Math 15, and Reading 15. (If your ACT scores do not meet these benchmarks, please schedule placement testing with the Career & Academic Planning Center using the link below.)

  • AP scores may be used for placement instead of ACT scores. To request your scores, please go to apscore.collegeboard.org/scores.

You can walk in for placement testing during regular business hours at the Main Campus, Building L in Bowling Green. No appointment is necessary. Please allow about an hour for each test you need to take.

Meet with an advisor. When you receive your acceptance email, you can walk in for a meeting with your advisor to register for classes. Be sure to check the email for next steps.
Apply for financial aid. Scholarships, grants and loans make a great education even more affordable. Get more details on how to pay for college. You can walk in to get financial aid help at Main Campus, Building L in Bowling Green.
You'll register for classes when you meet with your advisor. Don't worry, they'll help you through the entire process.
While most of our students receive some kind of financial aid, any amount not covered by aid will be your responsibility. Please talk to your advisor about scholarships and student-worker opportunities. You can also get more details on how to pay for college here.
